Adult Bereavement Support Group
Desert Hospice of the Desert Communities will offer bereavement education and support group. The goal of the group is to assist any grieving person coping with the painful experiences often faced following the death of a loved one.
The group is free but space is limited. Please call the Mizell Center at (760) 323-5689 to reserve your space.

Health Insurance Counseling – HICAP
Experienced volunteer counselors will answer your insurance-related questions and assist you with the application process.

Desert Regional Medical Center offers blood pressure checks and pulmonary/lung screening here at the Mizell Senior Center.

Hearing and Hearing Aid Clinic – HUH?!? Help U Hear
Dr. Natasha DeWald of HUH?!? Help U Hear, will be at the Mizell Center on the second Tuesday of the month (by appointment) to provide free basic services free to our members. Among the services offered free are:
- Hearing Aid Cleaning
- Checking your hearing aid to make sure it’s working properly
- Free basic hearing aid adjustments
- Free basic hearing screening and testing

Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group
A caring support group for those coping with the effects of neuropathy.The group is affiliated with the Neuropathy Association, the leading national nonprofit organization serving the peripheral neuropathy community. Free.

Veterans Benefits Counseling
Riverside County Department of Veterans Services has representatives at Mizell to assist with filing claims, answer questions, and make appropriate referrals.
2nd Thursday of the month, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
